This was a very special project for Design Stars. Not only did we get to renovate a bedroom space but we were able to provide hope for Leah as she adjusts to her new life as a paraplegic. It was an honor to do this for her and you can tell by her reaction that she was quite moved.
Besides the decorations, her lights have been fully automated with remote, an intercom system was installed, and a brand new closet system was put in t accommodate her new needs. Way to go Design Stars team!

We are well into the design process for the Covina Project coming up this weekend. We use various inspiration sources not only from magazines but books, stores, the web, and of course our own imagination. While design should be free, it always takes time, effort, and sacrifice to create anything of value. This project also poses new sets of challenges as we design a space to meet a homeowner who is handicapped. We have to make sure that the room is functional and convenient as well as inspirational. There is still a lot of preparations to take care of for the next few days. Check back for updates!

in Updates Tags: Design Stars Memphis
Part of the original vision for Design Stars has been to help fuel and mobilize renovation projects in cities across America. Well the dream is starting to become reality! I just had a great meeting with a passionate leader about starting Design Stars Memphis. Much of the details are still being worked out but hopefully a team from here will be able to coordinate with local volunteers to help a Memphis family in need. The movement is happening! Please pray that God would continue to open doors and lives can be touched through renovation and design. More updates to come soon.
Thanks Wetink!
